Beginners Pottery

Beginner Pottery Wheel

Class Sessions Available:

Mondays 6-8:30pm January 10th – February 14

How Classes Work

The introductory course is the perfect place to start if you have never worked with clay or you would like a refresher course!

In this session you will be introduced to the properties of clay, tools and their use, glazing and learn about firing your completed work.

All supplies and use of studio tools, as needed, is included in the course fee and will provide for the opportunity to complete many projects.

Registration and pre-payment of $225 per person is required to reserve your participation in this limited class size course run for 6 sessions.

Participation in each class is highly recommended.

February Hand-Build Couple/Friend Square Basket Weave

How Hand-Build Workshops Work

Come and create a beautiful Basket Weave Hand Build with a friend or as a couple. You will each get to make your own basket weave.  The first class you will make you and your partner or friend will each make a  basket weave.  The last class you will glaze your piece.

This 2 session class will take place on Tuesday February 1st & 15th from 6-8:30pm.

No Skill Level Required

A fun class that you will create the basket with your hands and not on the wheel.

Materials & Tools Provided

We will provide the clay, tools and glaze for your project.

Kids Pottery

In this session you will be introduced to the properties of clay, tools and their use, glazing and learn about firing your completed work.

Registration and pre-payment of $225 per couple is required to reserve your participation in this limited class size course run for 3 sessions.

March 5th: Working on the Wheel

Advanced Pottery

How Classes Work

Your next step after completion of the beginner course is to participate in the Advanced Pottery Course.  

This six week course with Thelma at the Union Station Studio.

This class will build on all the techniques that were taught in the intro class and expand your knowledge of clay.   You will learn more of the scientific aspect of the clay that will allow you to create more complex projects and to perfect the skills that you learned previously!

Supplies needed to create many projects are included as well as additional equipment and tools needed to expand your knowledge of clay and the art of pottery with your $225 participation fee.  

Pre-payment reservation is required to reserve your place in this limited class size, course.

Beginner Course Level Required

Your next step after completion of the beginner course is to participate in the Advanced Pottery Course.

Materials & Tools Provided

Supplies needed to create many projects are included as well as additional equipment and tools needed to expand your knowledge of clay and the art of pottery with your $225 participation fee.
